| Avila Beach
is just a short drive south of San Luis Obispo and north
of Pismo Beach. There are art galleries, wineries with tasting
rooms, and a Community Center where the kids can run off
some of that traveling energy. Avila

from April through September and has live entertainment,
plenty of fruits and vegetables, and fish from local fishermen.

marine life like seals, otters, sharks, and small creatures.
The Institutes ship offers short cruises around the bay,
listening to history, and enjoying local wine.

atmosphere where you can take a hay ride, pick your own
apples, varieties of pears, apricots, nectarines, pluots,
plums, and cherries. It is a favorite pumpkin patch for
school field trips.
For those who love lighthouses, Avila has a beautiful one
that is open for tours and host to special evening events.

of Avila and is a destination you don’t want to miss.
