Southern California Farm & Ranch Tours

Agritourism connects the public with the ranching and farming way of life. Farms, ranches, orchards and road side stands offer a way to enjoy fresh products and learn about where food comes from. Many farms and ranch's are now offering tours and bed and breakfast as a way to give city folks a chance to enjoy open space and country life. Some of the activities you can enjoy include U-pick produce, farm stays, trail rides, horse and cattle events, dude ranches, petting zoos, wine tasting, and festivals. Spend a day in the country and escape the city.

Keys Creek Lavender Farm - Certified organic lavender farm in the foothills of the Palomar mountains in northern San Diego County. Free admission, lavender season season is from May through June. Year round events including priviate parties and group tours. Call ahead for details.

Tanaka Farms - U-pick Strawberries, pumpkins Vegetables and fruit stand. Guided wagon ride around the farm on special occasions. A real farm in Irvine California. Fun place to visit for kids
Bates Nut Farm - Offers tours for groups of 15 or more. Also has the Bates store filled with a variety of nuts and dried fruits. Bates Nut Farm is located in Valley Center. Numerious events year are held at Bates nut farm each year.
New Oak Ranch Ojia - Family farm committed to growing quality lavender, Pixie Tangerines, olives and walnuts. U-Pick Lavender during the lavender season (usually mid-June through end of July). Offering farm visits and farm tours.
Simpson's "Garden Town" Nursey - large selection of plants, picnics, tour of antique cars and trucks, livestock viewing, ornamentals, herbs, cactus and succulents, fruit, shade trees, and palm trees
Peltzer Farms - Pumpkin Patch, school tours, railroad ride, pony rides, pig races, tractor collection, petting farm, birthday parties. Temecula California.
Indian Point Ostrich Ranch Visitors always welcome. 60 acre mountain side ranch and a separate 20 acre farm. The ranch opened to the public for tours in 1997.
Little Creek Acres Farm hands-on experiences of life on a small family farm through classes, tours, farm stays, apprenticeships, and volunteer opportunities.
Underwood Family Farms - Exceptionally fresh produce to you from the farm. Pick your own produce during season at the Moorpark location. Tractor pulled farm tours.
