California State Park Campgrounds Sweetwater Summit to Wrights Lake. Popular campgrounds in this category include Warm Spring Recreation Area, Twin Lakes Campground, Tuttletown Recreation Area and Woodson Bridge SRA.

Warm Spring Recreation Area is 25 miles north of Santa Rosa, swimming, fishing, riding, hiking, camping, and hunting. Tuttletown Recreation Area is located at New Melones Lake, the fourth largest lake in California. Woodson Bridge SRA on the Sacramento River between Chico and Red Bluff.

Twin Lakes Campground is located in Mammoth Lakes and is within easy driving distance Mammoth Village. Twin Lakes offers lake side camping with access to fishing and a boat launch. 75 campsite only open during the summer season. This is bear country so keep keep food and other items that might attract bears locked inside bear proof containers.

Reservations must be made at least 4 days in advance for Twin Lakes Campground. Maximum 2 vehicles per site. An extra vehicle fee will be collected at the campground beginning with the 2nd vehicle. Plenty of nearby shopping and dining in the town of Mammoth Lakes.
