California State Park Campgrounds Nelson Point to Quaking Aspen Cabin. Popular campgrounds in this category New Brighton State Park, Paradise Cove, Oceano Dunes SVRA, Pismo beach State Park, Point Magu State Park and Portola Redwoods State Park.

New Brighton State Park has a wonderful camping area camping overlooking Monterey Bay. Paradise Cove is ont shore of Isabella Lake off of Highway 178. Oceano Dunes SVRA is one of the few places where you can drive your vehicle on the beach. Pismo beach State Park is located along old highway one in Pismo Beach California.

Point Mugu State Park
features more than 70 miles of hiking trails, and five miles of pristine ocean shoreline. Portola Redwoods State Park is located San Mateo County. 50 campsites, four group campsites, and Slate Creek Trail Camp.

Patrick's Point State Park is about twenty-five miles drive from Eureka California. There are 121 campsites with 21 of them for tent camping only. Attractions include a reconstructed Native American Village, hiking trails, and interpretive/educational programs in summer. Pets are allowed in park, but not on trails, beach, or in buildings.
