Day Trips from Anaheim - If you choose one
of the multi day vacation packages it will give you time
to see some of Orange Counties other attractions. Visitors
staying in Anaheim are only a short drive to several spectacular
Southern California beaches.
The nearest beach to Anaheim is Huntington
Beach which is about a 25 minute drive depending on
traffic. If your feeling a little adventurous take a trip
to Laguna Beach. Driving
to Laguna will take about 45 minutes and at the end of your
trip you will be rewarded with one of the most scenic beaches
in all of California.
If you want to stay close to your hotel, Anaheim has an
excellent museum called Muzeo.
During the year various exhibits are on display. For kids
a short trip down the 5 Freeway takes you to the Discovery
Science Center. Inside are the "Cube" are
hands on exhibits that will keep you kids amused for hours.
Another nearby option is the Santa
Ana Zoo. This small zoo is very kid friendly and has
a fun train ride plus on weekends you can ride an elephant.
Anaheim resort area shopping got a big boost when Garden
Walk opened in early 2008. If your looking for real
bargains the Citadel Outlet Mall is about a 20 minute drive
form Anaheim. Visiting Disneyland can be expensive but by
carefully planning your trip you can take advantage of discount
tickets and packages.
