Disneyland California

Universal Studios hollywood
Disneyland Resort in Anaheim is the number one attraction in California. The resort has two Disney theme parks, the original Disneyland and California Adventure. Both parks plus Downtown Disney make up the Disneyland Resort. The city of Anaheim has made the surrounding area the resort district. If you have not visited Disneyland in a while you will be amazed at the difference. All but gone are the small mom and pop motels, the streets have all been widened and are lined with palm tress and flowers. New hotels and restaurants are everywhere. Across Harbor Blvd. from the park there is a new mall, Garden Walk, with restaurants and hotels. A shuttle bus picks up visitors from their hotels and drops them off at the resort. There has been quite a change from the old days at Disneyland.

With the remake of the resort prices have gone up. One day admission is now $66.00 for adults, $56.00 for age 3-9. Parking is extra and the food is very expensive inside the parks. If you are visiting from out of town you can save money by getting a package deal. Locals can keep watch for specials such as the popular Southern California 2fer Ticket. If you have kids you have to take them at least once. Even with the high cost Disneyland Resort will give them a memory that will last a lifetime. Out of town visitors can save money by staying at lodging outside of the resort district. Locals can avoid crowds by visiting during the off season.
