The
Great Park is being developed on the former El Toro Marine
Corps Air Station. What was once a busy Marine base is being
transformed into the" Greenest Park in the World".
Plans call for carving out a two mile long canyon through
the middle of the park which will have a temperture 15 degrees
cooler than the surrounding park . The park will cover approximately
1,300 acres, making it larger than New York's Central Park.
One of the attractions at the park visitors can enjoy is
the Big Orange Balloon at the Great Park. Flights on the
big Orange Balloon are free and offered from Thursday through
Sunday both day and evening
Orange County Great Park
The
Orange County Great Park is located in the geographic center
of Orange County. The Great Park can be reached directly
by the I-5, 405 and 133 freeways and the Foothill Transportation
Corridor. The first attraction of the park to open, the
orange balloon, and its free to ride.
