Griffith Observatory - The Griffith Observatory has been a major Los Angeles landmark since 1935. The Observatory is now open again after a major restoration. A must see Los Angeles attraction.

Olvera Street - Birthplace of the City of Los Angeles, otherwise known as El Pueblo. Many restaurants and shops. Across the street from Los Angeles Union Station.
Grand Central Market - Central Market has been a hub of bustling activity since 1917. Offering fresh fruits, vegetables, meats, poultry and fresh fish from California and around the world.
Chinatown Los Angeles - Shopping, dining, and waking tours of this historic area of Los Angeles. 16 square block district with family-owned shops and ethnic restaurants.
One stop from Union Station on Metro rail.
Grauman's Chinese Theatre - See the foot prints of the stars in the outdoor coutyard. Take a double decker bus tour of historic Hollywood California.
Los Angeles Zoo Botanical Gardens -
Located on a 113-acre site in Griffith Park with than 950 animals and almost 7,500 plants. Excellent Zoo and gardens.
Griffith Park - Griffith Observatory, Greek Theater,Travel Town, La Zoo, Griffith Park Southern Rail Road, LA live Steamers, Museum of the West.
Descanso Gardens
A natural "bowl" in the San Rafael hills provides a secluded setting for Descanso Gardens. Also a train ride for the kids.
Union Station - Built in 1939, is considered to be "The last of America's great rail stations". Nearby is the historic Los Angeles Olvera Street district..
Santa Catalina Island - Just off the coast of Southern California is an island that looks much like California did two hundred years ago. Fun day trip for all.

Paramount Studios - Experience the living history of Paramount Studios. Take a guided 2-hour tour.
Los Angeles Arboretum - A rich historical site that includes Native American, Rancho Period, and late 19th century treasures. Take a tram tour of the gardens.
Hollywood Walk of Fame - "Sidewalk of the stars" Created in 1958, the Walk of Fame has become a tribute to performers and others within show business
Hollywood Museum - Located in the historic Max Factor building. Art, history, techniques, and technology of the entertainment industry.
Queen Mary Long Beach - The Queen Mary in Long Beach, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, remains one of the most famous ships in history.

La Brea Tar Pits - Rancho La Brea is one of the world’s most famous fossil localities and also home to the Page Museum.

Wrigley Memorial  - With its commanding view of Avalon Bay, The Wrigley Memorial is the centerpiece of the Botanical Garden. A must see on any visit to Catalina Island
