The
USS Midway Aircraft Carrier Museum is a must see
for any day trip to San Diego. Located downtown at the the
Navy Pier
visitors
are treated to 40 exhibits and 21 restored aircraft. After
boarding you will offered a headset to take the
self-guided audio tour. Your visit will take you through
berthing spaces, the forecastle, engineering, mess hall,
officers quarters, the flight deck and finally the Captain's
Bridge. Allow at least three hours to explore the entire
ship. Wear comfortable shoes and be prepared to climb steps
and walk through narrow passage ways. There is a gift shop
on board and the Fantail Cafe is open during regular museum
hours serving snacks and beverages. The USS Midway is a fun
and educational place to visit in San Diego. The views of
downtown San Diego and San Diego Bay alone are worth the

of a 69,000 ton ship! You will be amazed by the 4-acre flight

Guests off all ages can enjoy over 60 exhibits, 25 restored aircraft,
optional flight simulators, out door cafe and gift shop. Admission
also includes a self-guided audio tour, featuring USS Midway veterans
as narrators. Naturally located in Navy Town USA, a visit to the
Midway is uniquely San Diego. The
San Diego Aircraft Carrier Museum is located aboard the historic
USS Midway aircraft carrier, alongside Navy Pier in downtown San
Diego on the North Embarcadero. USS Midway is open daily from
10 a.m. to 5 p.m. with the exception of Thanksgiving and Christmas
Day. Ticket booth closes at 4 p.m. More
