Miramar Air Show San Diego 2015

 
The MCAS Miramar Air Show October 2 -4, 2015.

This year the U.S. Navy Blue Angels demonstration team m will headline the aerial performance demonstrations. Fastpaced formation flying and choreographed six-ship maneuvers in their jets.

The show also features military and civilian jets, propeller planes, old war birds, a sailplane, hang glider and jet powered truck. The annual MCAS Miramar Air Show is an open house opportunity for visitors to get acquainted with an operational military air station.

Visitors to the MCAS Miramar Air Show will see a thrilling and dynamic Marine Air Ground Task Force demonstration, with special-effects pyrotechnics taking place over, around and right in front of them.

Other performances will include Sean Tucker’s “Oracle Challenger,” Chuck Aaron in the Red Bull Helo, John Collver’s “Wardog” and the Shockwave Jet Truck. Highlighting the Marine Air Ground Task Force and a large static display of Marine Corps aircraft and ground combat equipment.

Admission and parking for the air show is free. Reserved seating is available, from grandstands and box seats, to the exclusive Flying Aces Chalet. Chalet tickets include meals and beverages.

Other military hardware flying in the air show includes the AV-8B Harrier, the Navy’s F/A-18 E/F Super Hornet, and the U.S. Air Force’s F-16 Fighting Falcon. The world-famous U.S. Army Golden Knights Parachute Team always impresses the crowd with their aerial stage show and they’ll be back again in October.

Civilian performers include Sean D. Tucker and his Oracle Challenger, John Collver in his AT-6 Texan “War Dog,” and Kent Shockley’s Shockwave Peterbilt Jet Truck. The static displays will include active duty aircraft from all services, historic war birds, general aviation aircraft, helicopters, tanks and more. Don’t forget your camera!

The Saturday Twilight Show will feature civilian performers with special aerial pyrotechnics, military afterburner passes and a spectacular fireworks display. The Great Wall of Fire will end the show

You must have a valid drivers license, current registration and proof of insurance to bring your vehicle onto a military base. If driving a rental car, valid drivers license, proof of insurance & car rental agreement will be required.

Security personnel will direct you from the gate to your parking area. There may be adjustments prior to the Air Show.

FREE GENERAL ADMISSION may use the North, East/Main or West Gates; drivers will be directed to general parking areas. Marine Corps Air Station Miramar Way, San Diego, CA
