Entertainment and Culture

Muzeo
in Anaheim, is Southern California's newest museum.
Formally the Anaheim museum and now expanded with a new modern
building. The 25,000 square foot MUZEO complex includes Anaheim’s
original Carnegie Library (built in 1908). The new exhibition
building has over 5,000 square feet of main gallery plus a
small theatre and a community reading room. Muzeo
is part of the new downtown Anaheim and is only a couple of
miles from the Disneyland Resort District and many Anaheim
hotels.
Nearby is Anaheim Ice skating
ring and every Thursday the Anaheim farmers market is held
on the street next to Muzeo Museum. The 20,000-square-foot
complex has classrooms, an outdoor plaza available for private
parties, a history center and a museum to showcase traveling
exhibits.

Muzeo features
a unique variety of changing exhibitions, special events, lectures,
classes and weekend festivals. The city of Anaheim is building
a new downtown with new shopping, offices and housing. The
Muzeo arts buildings are one of the center points of the redeployment.
There is plenty of parking and near-by are coffee shops and
restaurants. The city spent nearly a million dollars to build
the Muzeo, including furniture and improvements at the Carnegie
Library.
The Muzeo museum is
well on the way to making
downtown a Anaheim a place to visit again. Plan on spending
at least two hours visiting the museum and exploring the new
downtown.
