Muzeo in Anaheim is located in downtown Anaheim. Formally the Anaheim museum and now expanded with a new modern building. The 25,000 square foot MUZEO complex includes Anaheim’s original Carnegie Library (built in 1908). The new exhibition building has over 5,000 square feet of main gallery plus a small theatre and a community reading room.

Muzeo features a unique variety of changing exhibitions, special events, lectures, classes and weekend festivals. The city of Anaheim is building a new downtown with new shopping, offices and housing. The Muzeo arts buildings are one of the center points of the redeployment. There is plenty of parking and near-by are coffee shops and restaurants.

Anaheim spent nearly a million dollars to build the Muzeo, including furniture and improvements at the Carnegie Library. The Muzeo museum is well on the way to making downtown a Anaheim a place to visit again. Plan on spending at least two hours visiting Muzeo in Anaheim

Muzeo is part of the new downtown Anaheim and is only a couple of miles from the Disneyland Resort District and many Anaheim hotels. Nearby is Anaheim Ice skating and every Thursday the Anaheim farmers market is held on the street next to Muzeo Museum. The 20,000-square-foot complex has classrooms, an outdoor plaza available for private parties, a history center and a museum to showcase traveling exhibits.

The MUZEO, Southern California's newest museum, a center for arts, knowledge, entertainment and culture, will engage people of all ages via the showcase of prestigious and world-class traveling exhibits.

A new model for urban cultural centers the MUZEO will feature a unique variety of changing exhibitions, special events, lectures, classes and weekend festivals.

The 25,000 square foot MUZEO complex encompasses Anaheim’s original Carnegie Library (built in 1908) and a new state-of-the art gallery space which has been seamlessly integrated into an urban setting, intimately surrounded by two connecting courtyards, apartment loft living and street-level retail outlets.

The MUZEO (which means “museum” in the international language of Esperanto) re-invents the concept of a regional cultural center for 21st century audiences. The MUZEO concept is truly visionary – transforming the image of our grandparents museum experience with state-of-the-art self guided audio podcasts, Wi-Fi access, interactive elements, interchangeable display capabilities and modern-day research facilities.

The MUZEO hosts three traveling exhibitions per year . Every exhibit is enhanced with special programs, events and activities.

Parking is available in the structure on the corner of Center Street Promenade and South Lemon Street.
