Trun 6 Paramount Race Track Santa Monica Mountains

Paramount Ranch Racetrack was only used for about two years. After one of the drivers was killed in a crash the track was closed in 1957.. The old race course is still visible at Paramount Ranch with a couple of sections still being paved.

The racetrack was a two mile figure eight course with a bridge between turns 3 and 4. Pictured above is turn 6. The racetrack pits and grandstand were located on the current parking lot.

The Devil's Hairpin motive starring Cornel Wilde and Jean Wallace was filmed at Paramount Ranch
Racetrack in 1957.

This footage is from the August 1956 running of the Paramount Ranch Road Races. Watch this video then visit the ranch and see if you can find some of the places in the movie. Its amazing how many of them are still there.
