San Elijo is a great location along the Southern California
coast where swimming, surfing, camping and picnicking are
just a few of the activities you can enjoy. During the summer
camp-sites fill up fast. You can reserve a site up to seven
months in advance.
San Elijo Beach State Beach campsites 145 through 171 all
are on the ocean view and in the north section of the park.
South end sites 1 through 43 and sites 47, 49, 51, 54 and
56 are are also on the ocean side of the park.
All other campsites do not have views with many of them
backing up to Highway 101. San Elijo campsites numbers 4,
26, 58, 92, 143 and 164 are handicap accessible. The usual
rules apply here including Non-registered guests must exit
by 10 p.m., Two vehicles maximum.
Only one RV, trailer, tent trailer, van per site and Dogs
must be kept on a leash no longer than six feet and under
physical control at all times.
Nearby attractions include Legoland which is about seven
miles away and Seaworld which is 18 miles. The main attraction
here is of course the beach and the beach view campsites.
Once nice feature pet owners love is San
Elijo Beach State Beach allows dogs
provided that you have it on a leash at all times and you
clean up after them.
The
town Cardiff-by-the-Sea is minutes
away with stores and restaurants. Head South to Del Mar
Beach or head north to Encinitas. There is no shortage of
things to do within minutes of San
Elijo Beach State Beach campground. |
