San
Elijo State Beach is situated on a bluff about 100 feet
above the Pacific Ocean. Day use and campers must use
these stairs to reach the beach. During high tide there
is not too much sand to lay out on.
San Elijo Beach State is a popular San Deigo County surfing
destination and when the waves get big the water gets
crowded with surfers trying for that perfect wave.
