July - Southern California Fairs, Festivals and Special Events
Dana Point Fireworks - can be seen from virtually anywhere in Dana Point Harbor. Two of the most popular locations are Heritage and Lantern Bay parks. 9 pm July 4, 2008.
Fireworks Huntington Beach Pier - One of the biggest and best showalong the coast. You need to get their early the beach fill up quick. Bring along your bikes and take a cruise July 4,2008

Mooning Amtrak - Annual event where people line up to show their best side to the passing trains. Mooners of all sizes and shape show up for this event. The bigger the moon the better. July 12, 2008

San Diego County Fair - "Summer of Sports" theme will celebrate a wide variety of sports at all levels, from youth to professional. Family summer fun. June 14 thru July 6, 2008

Santa Barbara County Fair - This old-fashioned county fair includes exhibits and attractions, a carnival and nightly concerts.General admission, $7 for adults; seniors children $5. 7/9/2008 - 7/13/2008

Orange County Fair - July 11 through Sunday, August 3, 2008 2008 theme is, "Say Cheese." Have fun at the fair with arts and crafts, a rodeo, exhibits, contests, carnival rides and food.
Fort MacArthur Days - A weekend of history, exciting battles reenactments, good food, and family fun as living history groups from all over the county invade the Osgood-Farley Historic Site. Admission 10 dollars for this event. 7/12/2008 - 7/13/2008

Tomato Tasting and Sizzlin' Summer Salsa Contest - The contest is open to the public at no charge. Free admission and parking. Fullerton Arboretum located on the grounds of Cal State Fullerton. 7/12/2008

U.S. Open of Surfing - Top surfers from around the world as well as a mix of action sports super-stars of skate, BMX, and freestyle motocross along with musical artists in a week-long beach festival. 7/18/2008 - 7/27/2008 Huntington Beach
San Clemente Ocean Festival - Waterman and Waterwoman events, Fishing derbies, woody car exhibit, ocean art show, children's pavilion, beach party barbecue. 7/19/2008 - 7/20/2008 San Clemente Pier.
Sawdust Festival Laguna Beach - 200 local artists invite visitors to stroll along sawdust-covered paths through a village of fine art and superb crafts. 6/27/2008 - 8/31/2008 Admission Adults 7 dollars.
Malibu Arts Festival - Over 200 artists showing and selling their work, including acrylics, oils, watercolors, textiles, photography, ceramics and prints. 7/26/2008 - 7/27/2008 Malibu Beach

Oxnard Salsa Festival - Spicy flavors, hot entertainment, and cool ocean breezes are the ingredients for summer fun at the annual Oxnard Salsa Festival. International foods; kids' attractions, salsa recipe contest. 7/26/2008 - 7/27/2008
