The
Grove is a up scale shopping center next door to the Los
Angeles Farmers Market at the corner of Third
and Fairfax. Traveling down the center of the mall is a
1950s era Boston street car. A trip along the trolley's
short route is free however it's usually quicker to walk
than ride.
The Grove and the LA
Farmers Market make a great Los Angeles day trip. Start
out at the farmers market and enjoy breakfast or lunch then
its a short walk or quick trolley ride to The Grove. At
575,000-square-foot this modern shopping mall is one of
the larger Los Angeles shopping centers. The Grove is an
open air mall so bring along a hat, sunscreen and sun glasses.
Along with dancing fountains, statues and artwork, The Grove
has an assortment of shops including Abercrombie & Fitch,
Nordstrom, Anthropologie, Arden B., Banana Republic, Gap,
BabyGap, GapKids, GapBody the list goes on and on. One of
the most popular stores is a huge two-story Mac computer
shop.
Dining choices include Cheese Cake Factory, Wood Ranch BBQ,
The Farm of Beverly Hills,Maggiano's Little Italy and American
Girl Cafe. Your best bet for food is at the Farmers Market,
fill up there and then walk through the Grove to burn off
a few calories. A trip to the Los Angeles Farmers Market
and The Grove will take up a good part of a day.
Along with shopping and dining visitors to The Grove can
enjoy a dancing fountain show which come to life every hour.
The fountain show has variety of songs from Dean Martin
to Frank Sinatra with a splash of Lou Rawls and Kool and
the Gang. Seasonal medleys are played during the holidays.

The Grove Shopping Center is a popular
destination for celebrities. There is always the chance
to spot a movie star or famous person. The valet parking
area usually has a few exotic cars parked out front waiting
for their owners. The mall is even more popular with tourists
who seem to be everywhere snapping photos and enjoying
the parades of people walking down First Street.
The green Boston
street car travels along First Street
between The Grove and Farmer’s Market and the ride
is free. During the holidays the trolley and mall are
decorated with thousands of lights for an amazing experience.

after your going to pay. There is also two hours free
parking with validation from select stores. No validations
accepted for valet parking.
