The
rocky bottom at Trestles is one reason these surfers can
enjoy these perfectly shaped waves. During winter storms
rocks are washed out to sea from San Mateo Creek and form
a reef that helps creates the shape of the wave.
Most days Trestle is not crowded with plenty of room for
all. On a big wave day there may be hundreds of surfers
competing for the perfect wave.
