Union Station Los Angeles

Divider
This Grand Train Station built in 1939 has been restored to original condition. Entering the building you can almost see the crowds of passengers rushing to catch their trains back in the railroad heyday of 1940s.

Today Union Station is alive with activity again with Metro and Amtrak trains arriving hourly. The Metro Rail (Red Line) subway's starting point is directly underneath the station and its just a short escalator trip to the Red Line Station

In addition the Metro Gold Line shuttles passengers all the way to Pasadena. Park your car and take a day trip to just about any place in Southern California. Trains depart to the South for San Diego and to the North for Santa Barbara and points North.

Take the metro trains for Los Angeles area destinations. Just a short walk across the street takes you to the historic Olvera Street. Parking is available at the station for a hourly charge. A nice rail trip from Union Station is Angels Flight Railway which is on a couple of stops down the line on the undeground metro line
