Westfield
Horton Plaza in downtown San Diego is one of the most unique
shopping centers in Southern California. This five story
shopping mall is absolutely beautiful. With it's striking
architecture and stunning vistas of the San Diego skyline
there is nothing else like it.
Located in the center of downtown during the day the malls
many restaurants attract office workers. At night and on
the weekend the mall fills up with tourists and locals out
for a night on the town at the famous Gaslamp
Quarter which is right next door to the Horton Plaza.
When you visit make sure your hungry one whole floor of
the mall is dedicated to making you gain weight with food
from all over the world. After you fill up walk up the stairs
to the top of the mall check out the wonderful view of San
Diego.
Horton Plaza has it's share of stores including Nordstrom's
and Macy's Department Stores. In total there are about 150
places to shop plus a movie theater and a 24 Hour Fitness
to work out after you stuff yourself at the food court.
Even if you don't buy a thing this mall is worth checking
out, it's really one of a kind. Nearby attractions are the
USS Midway and
the Gaslamp Quarter. Horton Mall hours are Monday to Friday,
10:00am to 9:00pm; Saturday, 10:00am to 8:00pm; and Sunday
11:00am to 7:00pm.
