The Pacific Coast Sportfishing Travel and Outdoors Show will be held at the Orange County Fairgrounds in Costa Mesa, CA. With over 500 booths, the show will offer the best in fishing, boats, travel, and outdoor gear.
Dana Point Festival of Whales – March 6-8, 2026 in Dana Point Harbor. Celebrating the migration of gray whales, it features whale-watching cruises, street fairs with art and music, and quirky events like the Whale of a Tale Parade. It’s a chill way to enjoy the ocean air and spot a spout.
Solvang Century Cycling Event – March 7, 2026. The Solvang Century is a yearly 100-mile cycling event in and around Solvang and the Santa Ynez Valley. The event has a limit of 1000 riders. Even if you are not a cyclist, March is an excellent time to visit Solvang before the summer vacation crowd arrives.
47th Annual L.A. Chinatown Firecracker – Feb 28 – March 1, 2026. Los Angeles Chinatown Plaza) Celebrating 47 years, the L.A. Chinatown Firecracker is one of the largest and oldest running events in the U.S. The upcoming Lunar New Year festivities will include a run, a walk, a cycling event, and a dog walk, all taking place over the weekend at the historic Los Angeles Chinatown Plaza.
Cherry Blossom Festival – March 12-15, 2026 at the Japanese Friendship Garden in Balboa Park. Kids will love the blooming cherry trees, crafts, and watching taiko drummers or dancers. Plus, there’s a beer and sake garden for the grown-ups to unwind.

South Bay Orchid Society Show/Sale – ( April 18 & 19, 2026) The Orchis Show showcases dozens of blooming orchids from various genera, including species and hybrids. Fallbrook Avocado Festival – The Fallbrook Avocado Festival is a fun, family-friendly event. Plan on arriving early; this place gets crowded with over 50,000 visitors. Anaheim 5 de Mayo Fiesta A vibrant Cinco de Mayo celebration with carnival rides, live mariachi and salsa music, traditional Mexican food, and kids’ activities like piñata-making and face painting. Admission is free; food and rides are available for purchase at separate prices.
San Clemente Ocean Festival. This Festival features a variety of family-friendly activities, including a sandcastle competition, paddleboard races, and exhibits showcasing marine life. OC Greek Festival. The Festival is held at St. John’s Greek Orthodox Church in Anaheim. There is an outdoor marketplace and ‘Zorba’s Kids Zone with carnival rides and games. Food booths will sell delicious Gyros, Feta Fries, Loukanika, and sweet Greek pastries, including baklava, Kataifi, Melomakarona, and Chocolate Trigona.
Fountain Valley Crawfish Festival serves succulent scores of seasoned Cajun crustaceans prepared to mouthwatering perfection in the world’s largest crawfish pots. But there’s much more to do here than crawfish — savor New Orleans-style dishes like chicory coffee and beignets, and dance to Cajun & zydeco tunes.
Garden Grove Strawberry Festival This year, the Garden Grove Strawberry Festival will be held Memorial Day Weekend at the Village Green Park at Euclid and Main Street. There will be a parade, free strawberry shortcakes, rides, and attractions.

Apple Season in See Canyon, San Luis Obispo(September – November). See Canyon is open for u-pick apples. Enjoy homemade apple products, such as pies, pastries, and ciders, and explore the scenic beauty of See Canyon. See Canyon boasts a unique micro-climate that provides perfect conditions for producing top-quality apples. Varieties such as Golden Delicious, Gala (a local favorite), and Rome Beauty (a bright red variety).
Julian Apple Picking (Starting Early September) Apples: Red Delicious, Golden Delicious, McIntosh, Jonathan, Arkansas Black, and Lady Apples are available for U-Pick. Due to the popularity of apple picking in Julian, it’s best to check with the individual orchards for details. Some orchards require reservations for U-Pick, and many sell out within a week or two. September is a wonderful time to take a day trip to Julian.
Danish Days, Solvang, California: Experience Authentic Foods, Music, Folk Dancing, and three Parades. Numerous events are held over three days, including the Living History Festival, the Old World Artisans Marketplace, the Viking Beer & Wine Garden, the Viking Encampment, and the Kids Corner. Admission to Solvang Danish Days is free.
Old West Days, Randsburg. Head out to the desert for country music and old-west events. On Sunday, there is a street fair featuring live music, vendors, arts & crafts, and antiques. Randsburg is located just off Highway 395 in eastern Kern County, known as the Rand Area. At an elevation of 3,500 feet, the Living Ghost Town of Randsburg transports travelers back to California’s early gold mining days.
Wasteland Weekend: The world’s largest post-apocalyptic festival, this 18+ event immerses attendees in a Mad Max-style world with themed camps, live music, fire performances, and costume contests. It’s a unique, high-energy experience for teens (with adult supervision) and adults who enjoy cosplay and immersive festivals. Location: Mojave Desert near Edwards, CA (about 2 hours from Los Angeles, California. This event lasts for five days.
Port of Hueneme Banana Festival Highlights include live entertainment, port tours, and a vendor marketplace.
