After being held in Long Beach for the last couple of years Fountain Valley BBQ Festival has moved back to its original location in Mile Square Park. This year the festival features a competition between professional pitmasters and local BBQ experts.
The BBQ Festival features some of the top BBQ pitmasters in the country. Porky N Beans America’s Best Ribs, Howling Coyote specializing in St. Louis-style pork spare ribs, Cowboys Barbecue & Rib Company with over 150 titles. Rib Vendors are subject to change.
Both amateur and professional categories for judging and trophies. Also on hand at the BBQ festival will feature music, crafts booths, a kids area with a petting zoo, magic shows, and a reptile exhibit. Bring the whole family for a day of fun and finger-licking-good BBQ ribs and pulled pork plates.
Ribs and BBQ Samplers
Pit Masters from across the U.S will be selling their award-winning ribs, chicken, sausage, pulled pork, and other mouth-watering BBQ dishes. Ribs can be purchased in full, half racks, or three rib sample plates. Vendors will also offer BBQ sample plates. Most booths are cash only however there will be an ATM on site.
Live entertainment will be provided on Saturday and Sunday. The BBQ Contest will be held on Sunday with the last submission at 2:30 PM. A Grand Champion winner will be announced and a $500 prize and the trophy will be awarded for The Best BBQ Ribs. The Pitmasters vs. Locals competition will be held on Saturday.
BBQ Festival Tickets, Parking, Hours
General admission is $10.00 on Saturday and Sunday. Friday admission is only $5.00. Children 12 and under are free. Parking for this event is free. Event hours are Friday 5-10 PM, Saturday 12-10 PM, and Sunday 12-8 PM. Discount tickets for the Saturday BBQ festival are $3.75.
